“Ice ice baby…”
If you know this song, you’re legend. I suddenly thought of Vanilla Ice while reading Chapter 2 Rich Dad Poor Dad.
Vanilla Ice is a smart guy.
During his prime time, he bought houses using the money he received from his shows. Later on, he flipped the houses and sold them at a higher price. Way higher…
I used to watch his own show on Astro many years ago.
My brother was the one who told me about Vanilla Ice’s asset strategy.
Now that I started reading financial book like Rich Dad and Poor Dad, I understand what Vanilla Ice was doing.
He invests in assets, so that the assets will bring him continuous income. That means he doesn’t need to work until the normal retirement age.
“It’s not about how much money you make, it’s how much you save.”
Nonetheless, I still think how much we make is important. The more we make, the more we can save, the more we can give…
p.s. On a different note, Vanilla Ice appeared in Adam Sandlers’s movie, acted as Mark Twain. Mark Twain (1835 - 1910) was a writer. Vanilla Ice made a lot of jokes, and every time I saw quotes from Mark Twain, it reminds me of that scene.
Looking at this quote, now I know why the other day, when I was about to sleep, the song Minority from Green Day crossed my mind:
“I wanna be the minority…”
Don’t check the whole lyrics; it has curse words in it.
